How To Derail Progress -OR- Fruitbats

Hello again fledgling progressives. Welcome to toady's lesson on proper deportment.
It's been reported that some of you are trying to have constructive conversations and debates. This is futile unless you are willing to make your efforts pointless. You cannot introduce or seek recognition of the elephants in the room. Frex, you can only either support the troops or hate America. Choose one. The agenda is set and you are not allowed to stray unless to an equally irrelevant tangent that avoids any
illumination of the elephants in the room.

You cannot relate, connect or otherwise complicate matters by trying to isolate unrelated tangents into separate discussions. You must understand that in a one-on-one debate you are hopelessly outnumbered. Before you can begin to tackle the immediate item of interest you must answer any and all unanswered questions as well as those that were unasked before, but now must be addressed.

Your efforts must be focused upon the agreed upon categories of National Security or, if you must, National Security, unless you first stipulate that the timeline for discussion purposes began on January 20th, 2009.
