Back To Percentages? -OR- Wait Your Turn

For me, there is rarely a lighter side to this catastro-clusterfuck. Despite the incessant clown-cars, borscht-belt one-liners, zingers and flingers, any mirth to be found is short-lived.

Gotta laugh? Maybe someday, but today isn't that day. I can't tell you how much this sucks. Now don't get me wrong, there are moments, distractions and diversions. Without them and the people who capably provide them, things would be much, much worse. If not for the tides, prevailing winds and under-currents, these brief respites could be enough. If we were headed in a generally acceptable direction, proposing non-draconian plans, not so untethered from our shared desires...

Nope, can't do it today. Just another day doing the best we can UNDER THE CIRCUMSTANCES as our limited choices become less and less palatable.

Maintaining dissatisfaction beneath a critical mass is an unacceptable goal. Why is that the driving concern?
