On the shoulders of Giants OR Backsliding GOP style

Is it wrong to dream of a good old fashioned torchlight marching to the castle?

To remind folks what some people gave up to give us a reason to celebrate Labor Day?
To keep children from going in circles looking for solutions to problems they did not create?
To soften the irony of bronze plaques placed 100 years too late? To sate their guilt and co-opt principles they agreed to; only to abandon?
To demand that the promises our fathers and grandfathers fought for be kept?
To think of Labor and laborers as more than an expendable commodity?

That the true owners of America, proud, skilled descendents of those who toiled and suffered and died for an idea, a community, a brotherhood... kindred, be given their due.

For them it's never been about the money, but rather the idea that families can thrive and build communities. That a good life has little to do with monetary wealth and everything to do with that hope embodied in an idea.
