Fire Drill! OR How to avoid an unfinished homework assignment

If you were a reproblican strategist and were faced with following the Denver Dems, what would your advice be?
"Let's get our guy out there front and center to clarify and cement his positions on the issues, show the contrast, make it obvious what the choice is facing the voters"?

Or perhaps, you'd suggest the best appoach would be to find ways to limit focus on your guy, shift attention to a sideshow, let the media frenzy provide an illusion of activity through which your guy can appear unflappable? concerned? HUMAN? Without having to say anything?

The RNC is supposed to be the opportunity to put their platform on proud display. But when you look in the cupboard there's nothing appetizing. You're low on staples, low on spices and much of your usual ingredients are slightly to downright tainted.

What do you put on the table?

RAW MEAT! Something people can sink their salacious teeth into. Something to satisfy carnivores, omnivores and carrion.

can ride to the rescue of a woman in distress. Mmmmmm, tasty! Our polling says this will actually help the Governor back home where investigations, in process, were heating up.
