Waxing Nostalgic or Barack on track

Note:I was always bemused by the endings of Rocky & Bullwinkle episodes. "Be with us next time for: The end of civilization as we know it OR Who goosed the Moose?"
It's always an either - or proposition, isn't it?

Synergy means behavior of integral, aggregate, whole systems unpredicted by behaviors of any of their components or subassemblies of their components taken separately from the whole.

The word was destroyed in the 80's through overuse, misuse and well, it just got used up.

Buckminster Fuller felt it a strong enough force to change the world. The word may have fallen out of favor but the force is still at work. There is a synergy at work in this election season. It started out unnoticed then built up, splintered, built up again, splintered again. It held out some ugly truths. For a brief time, there was a sense of acknowledgment and a real opportunity to move beyond our fears.

In our haste to put the past behind us and our need to gloss over some pretty ugly memories, we left a lot of important business unfinished. Healing, mourning, anger, frustration, loss, regret, apologies owed...were set aside in the interest of getting on with it. There will be time enough later on. Guess what? It's later. Things we didn't finish are nipping at our ass, hounding our every move and demanding our attention. Following the laws of compounding interest, pigeons, chickens, albatrosses and vultures are coming home to roost. The harm or foul may have been forgotten or glossed over, but the damaged parties tend to pile up, fester and make a stink.

We've reached a point to reconcile the past with the future. In short, we decide to be the civilized society we pretend to be or accept our warrior culture and continue letting our proxy be used to compound our mistakes.

Yep, we're phooked.

But it's OUR phooked, and we can choose to do what we will with it . . .

My Handle:

'Sun's Shinin, Birds Are Sangin, And My Glass Is Half Full. That's My Story And I'm Stickin To It.'

Hard handle to hold, at times, for me.

But still . . . *G*

Yeah, we need change, HUGE change.
Here's hopin?
